Benevolence Ministry

Boone County Kentucky is a great place to raise your family. Thanks impart to the educational system, geographic location, and endless opportunities available to you. Even with all the greatness that Boone County stands for, there is still a dark side that some people wish not to address. In our population of 125,000 people, Boone County boasts statistics of 8% unemployment and 7% of all homes living below the poverty level.

At Florence Baptist Temple, the Benevolence Ministry is here to help members and non-members through the tough times that life can bring their way. We all go through times in our life when we need a helping hand from others and we believe Jesus demonstrated this to us perfectly. What kind of church would we be if we were not willing to help others in their time of need? The Bible tells us to “bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ” and we want to follow that command. Our Benevolence Ministry is here to help people in need in the following ways:

Spiritual Ministries: Provides for people’s spiritual needs by listening, praying and caring for the whole person. Through this ministry it should become evident that God cares for you and loves you and so does Florence Baptist Temple.
Food Pantry: Our food pantry provides a generous amount of food to those in need. Our food is provided to us by the generosity of our members and we rely upon that to continue this important ministry.
Financial Assistance: Financial Assistance requests are handled on a case-by-case basis and are dependent upon the available funds, documentation of need, and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

If you are broken, lonely, hopeless, or just need someone to pray with you and listen, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you in any way we can. We are able to love and serve others because God has first shown us love. We hope that our Benevolence Ministry can be a blessing to you as we look forward to serving you.
